Located on the Nankin Row of 3 Pickering Street is Jimoto Ya, famed for having signature ramen created by Michelin star chef, Nobumasa Mieda of Michelin-Starred Kaiseki Restaurant MIEDA from Sapporo Hokkaido.

Their latest lunch menu addition is the Jimoto-Ya’s Petite Set Lunch (Ladies’ Set).

Here’s why it’s so awesome.

For just $20.00 Nett, you can enjoy 1 Petit Signature Jimoto-Ya Ebi Ramen, 2 Petit Side dishes & 1 Petit Dessert. Choose from a selection of 4 Main Ramens, 8 Side dishes and 2 Desserts.

Check out Jimoto Ya’s Exclusive Online Reservation VIP Set Lunch too. Simply go to http://m.me/jimotoyasingapore

What’s cool about this reservation service is that you get to talk to a chatbot! Yay to the age of technology and Natural language processing (NLP)!

Back to food, I was highly recommended to try the Shoyu Ebi Ramen along with sides like Tori Kara-age and Tofu Salad, this was paired with an advanced range of premium sake.

Here’s my serving of dinner, which really wasn’t “petite” as the menu name may suggest. I was pretty full at the end of it! Jimoto Ya has teamed up with the nice guys from Inter Rice Asia to bring your ramen dishes to a whole new level!

Some of the sake here can only be found specifically at Jimoto Ya and not anywhere else. Specially imported just for this eatery, so be sure to check these Sake out.

Shio and Miso ramen are also offered and though they may seem lighter in taste at first, the taste does eventually get more overpowering! I was amazed at how the broth were all so aromatic in  nature but yet all tasted so different. The noodle texture was spot-on and the side dishes definitely gave me some added bite on top of the noodles. The tori-karage was crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside.

Do check out their other side dishes like their grilled meats and mushroom, all so so so good!

To end off the meal, the matcha ice cream completed it. Served in a perfectionst bowl topped with a nice minty leaf, this icy and yet bitter ice cream gave an earthly flavour to my tastebuds that had tasted several premium sakes, umami ramen and side dishes.

Thanks to Justin, Inter Rice Asia and Sean from Jimoto Ya for the invite.
